Pick-up rear end collision damages
Mr. Huston recently had a successful mediation on a rear-end collision case. The case came to him after the Plaintiff was unhappy with his first attorney's handling of the case. After investigation, Huston determined that the Plaintiff may have a closed head injury based upon his symptoms of memory loss and speech difficulty. The Plaintiff was referred to a Neuro-Psychologist who found the Plaintiff to have traumatic brain injury. This lead to a vocational opinion that Plaintiff was permanently disabled and therefore unable to work and the case was filed. After discovery and mediation, the client obtained a settlement which was roughly 10 times the amount claimed by previous counsel. The lesson here is that it pays to hire counsel who has experience in analyzing all angles to bolster damage claims.
